Excellent dishes are of enormous importance for an enjoyable Stern vacation. During preparation we place great emphasis on regional ingredients and products from Austria. Genuinely fresh and incredibly tasty – those are the ambitious creations you find on your plate every day. Our chef picks natural, full-fledged ingredients with diligence, places the utmost emphasis on high quality and creates new culinary highlights every day with his skills and decades of experience. The Austrian cuisine comes to the fore for him; he gives the tried and true traditions his personal light and fresh touch as part of our gourmet half-board.
With his dishes he also goes on a culinary journey to other countries. He sees the international cuisine as an enrichment. To him, fresh herbs, most of which grown in the hotel garden, are important for everything. Another concern of his is producing self-made juices, meaning that, for example, lilac, lavender, elderflower, balm and strawberries first find their way into the bottle, then into your glass.
Another indulging highlight are the home-made marmalades from garden fruits or sun-ripened Wachau apricots at your breakfast buffet. Every day starts deliciously with fresh, crisp bread rolls and sweet filling.
